Sound Induction Systems Ltd has supplied ListenTalk two-way tour guide systems to the largest bakery in Europe.
Having previously supplied a tour guide system to the site for visitor tours, we were approached when the social distancing rules were implemented due to the Coronavirus.
The bakery required a hands-free wireless headset solution to assist staff communication when spaced at least 2m apart. The system had to be easy-to-use, require no installation and the headsets had to be worn with hair nets and provide hearing protection against the noisy machinery.
The full duplex two-way system will also be used for communication during new staff inductions and training.
We supplied the systems with personalised laminated quick guides and pre-programmed the transceivers into groups ready to use straight out of the box.
The 20-acre site makes cakes and pies for different household names.
The system comprises 60 x ListenTalk LK-1 Transceivers, 60 x ListenTalk LA-454 (Over ear dual headset with boom microphone) and 4 x ListenTalk LA-481 Charger transport cases.
