General Description

The Williams AV Digi-Wave DLT 400-ACM (Advanced Comms Module) shares the same features as the popular DLT 400 but with additional intercom modes, such as seamless switching between four Sub-Groups as well as an All-Call function.

Advanced Comms mode facilitates efficient and flexible communication between a Leader and several teams. In the Advanced Comms mode, a Leader (LEAD 1 communication role and optionally, the LEAD 2 role) can quickly and seamlessly switch between up to 4 teams (sub-groups). The sub-groups can be named using a standard list of commonly used team functions or with a custom name of up to six characters.

Advanced Comms mode also includes All-Call functionality. All-Call enables a Leader (LEAD 1 and optionally, LEAD 2) to pause all communication across up to 4 subgroups and address all units simultaneously. The LEAD 2 can also make a PRIVATE call with the LEAD 1 only.

Advanced Comms mode allows any DLT 400-ACM transceiver in the system to be programmed as the MAIN SYNC unit and act like a flexible access point to maximise coverage range. The Advanced Comms Mode allows for a DLT to be programmed as a Control unit to support situations where the MAIN SYNC unit is permanently mounted in an inaccessible location. System programming can be done on the control unit and then updated by connecting wirelessly to the system. The Control unit offline programming can also be used to quickly make changes to a system without interrupting an event.

Features

Fully Mobile, No Base Station. Digi-Wave ACM is a fully portable, full duplex, Two Way Communication System providing users complete flexibility to go where they are needed and remain in communication with their team.

Flexible Access Point. Unlike most wireless intercom devices in the market which use an access point to connect units, Digi-Wave ACM’s flexible access point (Main Sync feature) enables users to choose any device in the system to act as the digital access point maximising the overall range of the connected system and ensuring communication connectivity throughout the production area. Optionally, a unit can be mounted in a fixed location to maximise coverage.

All Call Function. This function enables one or several leaders to easily communicate with all subgroups.

Four (4) Subgroups. Creating subgroups enhances flexibility and easily ensures efficient communication management in diverse environments. Depending on the requirements, 2 – 4 subgroups can be created.

Customised Subgroup Naming. Admins can customise subgroups with up to 6 characters or choose from common subgroups like camera, audio, and stage. This customisation helps team members quickly identify their subgroups and navigate communication more smoothly.

Quick, Seamless Subgroup Switching. One or several leaders can quickly switch between subgroups, ensuring seamless coordination and maximum efficiency.

Control Function. The new control function empowers administrators to program all system settings offline using a Digi-Wave ACM transmitter. This device enables convenient system updates, allowing administrators to easily manage communication settings.
