General Description
The Williams AV WF T5C WaveCAST C Wi-Fi Audio System is a real-time audio over Wi-Fi platform designed for pro-audio applications where high-quality sound is required.
The WF T5C WaveCAST C allows you to send audio over a Wi-Fi network to iOS or Android devices, or a Williams AV dedicated receiver.
The professional audio input on the WaveCAST C is via 6.35mm/XLR combination connector. Microphone level with phantom power and line level audio are supported. In addition to multi-stage gain control inputs, the DSP features include AGC, limiters, high and low pass filter, and adjustable range compressor control. The 16-bit DAC provides a 48Khz sample rate for a smooth digital stream and minimizes digital harshness. WaveCAST C supports both unicast and multicast network configurations. Up to four WaveCAST C systems can be connected to the same Wi-Fi network to provide multiple listening channels — supporting 45 users in unicast mode or 1500+ users in multicast mode.
The WaveCAST C can have most settings changed via the front panel interface or the hosted web interface. A remote programming guide is available upon request.
The new WaveCAST app provides an easy-to-use, intuitive user interface and is available on iOS or Android. Listeners easily select channel and volume level once their personal device is connected to the Wi-Fi network.
WaveCAST C integrates with third-party room systems allowing AV professionals to control with Telnet commands via Ethernet.
*Note: Firmware is model specific. Firmware updates are currently unable to be completed on Mac computers.
