Opus AuraLoop Portable induction loop system with Auracast™

General Description

The Opus AuraLoop is a portable induction loop that incorporates Auracast™ . This system can be used to assist communication with people that are hard-of-hearing and have a compatible hearing aid or cochlear implant.

Auracast™ is a new standard for Bluetooth Low Energy audio transmission.

The AuraLoop can be used to equip counters, reception desks or small rooms. 

This compact and user-friendly system incorporates a microphone, an amplifier, an induction loop, an Auracast™  transmitter and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. 

The system is simply placed between the staff member and the customer. The staff member switches on the unit and talks to the customer. The staff member’s voice is picked up by the internal microphone. The audio is then converted to an induction loop and an Auracast™ stream. The person that is hard-of-hearing switches their assistive listening aid either to the ‘T’ (telecoil) programme to listen to induction loop or selects the Auracast™ stream by scanning a QR code on their phone to hear.

LED lights on the front and rear provide confirmation of the signal status to inform users that the system is switched on and working.
Two conveniently located knobs on the rear allow adjustment of the microphone input and (optional) handset volume. The handset is a single earphone that can be used by somebody that doesn’t have a loop or Auracast™ compatible aid to hear. The handset is docked on a cradle stand on the front of the system when not in use. 

An (optional) external microphone can be connected for applications where it is not convenient or suitable to use the internal microphone.

The system can either be fixed via the supplied base or removed for portable use.
